As I'm sure you're all well aware of by now, Josie has left "Ultimate" Big Brother. It wasn't John McCririck's trecherously transparent man nappie, or his insistence of lolling about the sofa or foraging for foodstuffs in a state of undress, or his monopoly on the pool... Neither was it the big blubber fest courtesy of Chantelle (still not over Preston), Ulrika (miserable through lack of food) or Makosi ("bored"/doesn't want to be "known for the Jacuzzi thing"... Or Coolio's sleaze factor... it wasn't even the threat of one of Makosi's massive mammaries knocking an eye out at any given moment, or the lack of promised action between Nikki and Chantelle... Nor was it the sheer banal grey matter of Nicholas Bateman...
Nay, she left because they were mean about her Johnny James, and informed her that she was no longer a "normal person." That her relationships would forever be under public scrutiny. This upset her no end.
The Sun reports: "Ultimate Big Brother favourite Josie Gibson made a shock exit yesterday afternoon after getting sick of her famous housemates' jibes about her lover John James. The BB11 champ left through the fire exit after just 42 hours of the show - and bizarrely bumped straight into the Aussie at the studio (how fortuitous for the producers). After a big hug she told John James - who was recording a message for her - that she couldn't bear to stay in the house with the celebrities any longer. Josie, 25, added: 'I can't handle it no more. I'm so glad you were just there then. I just thought f*** this, it's not worth it'... Transsexual Nadia Almada, 33 (ME HEEEWP), sniped: 'All I saw when he kissed you was like a headlock. They weren't real kisses. I don't think I'm going to be the first or last person you hear this from.' Channel 4 racing pundit John McCririck, 70, called John James a 'scumbag'. And he told Josie that he was only 'lukewarm' towards her. Rap star Coolio made things worse, telling her that she liked John James more than he liked her. Their comments led to Josie breaking down in the Diary Room just hours before quitting the house for good. The blonde sobbed: 'I can't handle it any more. They all know more about my relationship with John than I do and I feel trapped in here. John would make me feel better, I know that. I want to go. It doesn't feel like the same house... I'm so sorry. They're all really nice, don't get me wrong. I'm normal, I'm not a celebrity, I'm not like that.'"
Poor Bristols actually thought she could go into Big Brother, win, and then disappear off into the night. Well that's NEVER happened... with the exception of Rachel Rice and Cameron Stout. And Anthony Hutton.
Oh, McCririck and Coolio are up for nomination. How strange, mouth pieces are never the first to go...
