At 51-years-old, Ken Shamrock is going to get back in the ring, but this time without the gloves on.
The former WWE and UFC Hall of Famer has always been known for his love of combat sports, and after trying wrestling as well as mixed martial arts, he's going to give bare-knuckle boxing a go. James Quinn McDonagh is the man he's going to take on in April in the UK later this year, according to an announcement he made on his website earlier this week.
The statement read: "Shamrock is in great health and feels invigorated by this opportunity to continue to compete and to continue giving back to his fans. Shamrock is going back to his roots as a fighter. Knowing his body well, Shamrock knows that his decision to re-enter the ring for the love of this sport is a sound decision [and] adamantly believes that age should never be a restriction to any athlete. People can do amazing feats past their prime, if it’s a priority to them."
He also added that he wants to get involved in the sport to help raise its profile, and that he believes it can go even further and become more popular than it currently is. It seems rather a strange move for Shamrock, but he is "The Most Dangerous Man in the World", so McDonagh should be wary of him.
