Breda O'Brien, one of the patrons of the Iona Institute and campaigner against same-sex marriage, is no stranger to controversy.
In an interview published today, Breda expressed a number of opinions that some may find, well, a bit backwards.
In said interview, she said that all unmarried couples, be they heterosexual or homosexual, should abstain from sex before marriage.
Breda O'Brien: 'While homosexuals live sexless lives, I plan to continue having sex, as God intended for me'. #MarRef

Really upsetting takeaway from today is that Breda O'Brien is from Waterford.

I don't think it'll be long before Breda O'Brien reveals that she's actually a stand up comedian coz everything she says is gas

Breda's comments, and her discussion about her life as a teacher, also raised a few eyebrows.
Breda O'Brien, who doesn't believe in contraception or sex before marriage, is a teacher in a girls school. Who thought that was a good idea

"Breda O'Brien is Ireland's Katie Hopkins." That's actually an insult to Katie Hopkins... #YesEquality

Here's how to read between the lines of Breda O'Brien's article: gays can't be married. You can't have sex if you're unmarried. Get it now?

I will never understand that Breda o Brien is a teacher to hundreds of impressionable students

It seems, however, that Breda O'Brien wasn't the only subject of Twitter rage as columnist Niamh Horan, who conducted the interview, got a going over as well.
This week, Breda O'Brien took some time out of her hectic clown college timetable to sit down with famed alumnus Niamh Horan

I really feel like I've let myself down after clicking on @Niamhhoran's interview with Breda O'Brien
