Photographer Terry O'Neill, the man who took incredible photographs of some of the world's most infamous people, has passed away after a battle with prostate cancer.
Terry O’Neill was one of the world’s most collected photographers, with much of his past work hanging in national art galleries and private collections worldwide.
The iconic photographer took pictures of pop stars, presidents, and everyone in between over the span of six decades. Over that period of time, he managed to get photos of Amy Winehouse, Mick Jagger, Frank Sinatra, Freddie Mercury, Muhammad Ali, Brigitte Bardot, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Audrey Hepburn and many other household names.
The 81-year-old Londoner passed away at his home on Saturday. Tributes have been pouring in from many of his fans online, who are sharing some of their favourite photos taken by him.
Terry O'Neill took the most iconic photographs of me throughout the years, completely capturing my moods. He was brilliant, funny and I absolutely loved his company. A real character who has now passed on.
RIP you wonderful man.

Sad to hear of the death of Terry O'Neill.
Sat next to him some years ago at The Bridge, when he was introduced to me as 'The Man Who Took That Pic Of Raquel Welch In Ossie's Kit'. Which, of course, he was.
But he was so much more.
An iconic photographer of our ages.
RIP, Terry. pic.twitter.com/KRtBNyvwtj

Terry O’Neill was more than a photographer. He was a visual artist who captured his subjects as their true selves. He photographed me many times in the 1970s, including treasured photos with @eltonofficial. Rest In Peace, my friend. You will be missed. pic.twitter.com/EiH8hnNoG7

"I was shooting some portraits of Audrey [Hepburn] when this dove just landed on her shoulder. She stood as still as could be to allow me to get a few frames before the bird flew-off. She really knew how to work with a camera, with a photographer." - Terry O'Neill pic.twitter.com/BTjTp45KTv

Farewell, Terry O’Neill. I’ve always loved his work with Bowie, although it represents only a small part of what he did, of course. But this shot has always fascinated me. R.I.P. pic.twitter.com/yiaXMLjrDj
