You could spend a year or more fine-tuning your act for any talent show, but it could all come crashing down on the day itself.
That's precisely what happened to trapeze act and husband and wife team Duo Transcend when they appeared on 'America's Got Talent' the other night.
The pair pull off some pretty impressive moves, causing gasps of astonishment from both the judging panel and the audience, but when it comes to pulling off one particularly daring move that entailed husband Tyce - who has a degenerative eye condition - blindfolding himself and grasping his wife Mary's leg - it all went horribly wrong.
This is watch-between-your-fingers telly; you know something bad is going to happen, it's just a matter of when.
Thankfully, Mary was okay at the end, but it could have been so much worse.
