Easter has already been shrouded in controversy thanks to the rírá agus ruaille buaille about the creme eggs, and now things are about to get even weirder.

The sweet and savoury combo is one that has been tried and tested by fancy chocolate buyers (who get that one that has the bits of sea salt in it and is really nice) and cinema goers who put Minstrels in their popcorn for generations, but two new offerings this Easter are looking to take that partnership to strange new places.

This year, you will be able to get yourself a Pot Noodle or Marmite flavoured egg that you can choose to inflict on yourself or your loved ones, should you choose to do so. Unilever, who make both products, have teamed up with Kinnerton chocolate to offer the Easter eggs, which will apparently hit shelves this week.

Mashable report that the suggested price is £5 (just under €6.70), and that the strange combination is reminiscent of that weird limited edition Tayto cheese and onion chocolate bar that was out a while back. That said, Pot Noodle as chocolate can't be good, right?
