The Maracanã is one of the world's most famous stadiums, and since it got all done up for the World Cup in 2014, it's a real sight to behold.

Thanks to Airbnb, one lucky punter is going to win a night's accommodation at the iconic venue in a custom-built apartment that is a football fan's dream come true.

There are a limited number of rooms available for the competition, and the winners need to tell Airbnb exactly why you think you should get the chance to stay there, with a really great story about why you are the biggest football fan around. The winners will be given a tour by Brazilian legend Renato Gaúcho on arrival, which includes a look at the presidential sweets, the locker rooms, and pretty much everything you can imagine.

Once that's out of the way, you'll be sent down on the field to get a bit of practice on your penalties in, and then a "picnic, with traditional Brazilian fare and a private performance from local Rio musicians" right in the centre circle.

You'll head off to your converted VIP box to spend the night there, and you'll need your rest as you'll be there for the game between Flamengo and Fluminense, one of the biggest events on the Brazilian footballing calendar.

There are a few house rules to comply with however, and you will be expected to "keep the chanting of 'Ole Ole Ole' volume down after 10 pm" and to go and get your own ball if you kick it off the field, as there are no ball boys to do the dirty work for you.

The competition closes on the 21st of May, and the winner will get to stay there on the night of the 30th, so you'd better get your story straight, and quick.
