It's genuinely hard to imagine a dating website being set up for supporters of Enda Kenny, Stephen Donnelly or Gerry Adams.
Yet, unsurprisingly, it sounds totally plausible for the US Presidential Election. A group of supporters for Bernie Sanders have set up a website that puts fans of democratic socialism together with those who are looking for love.
BernieSingles.com puts supporters of the 74-year old Brooklyn together who are looking for love. Not only that, their slogan promises that "the 1% aren't the only ones getting screwed this election season."

The website, which has been live for just a few days, reportedly crashed a number of times when it first launched as demand was so high for the website. A quick check shows that CarsonSingles.com, TrumpSingles.com and ClintonSingles.com haven't been taken.
Not unsurprisingly, EndaSingles.com, JoanBurtonSingles.com and GerryAdamsSingles.com haven't been taken either. If BernieSingles.com gets turned into a dating app, it needs to be called Berner. Y'know, like Tinder. Berner. Tinder.
