It's awards season at the moment, not only for those in cinema and TV who paraded around at the Golden Globes last night, but also in football.

That's why we're all hoping that Stephanie Roche will claim the Puskas Award at the FIFA ceremony tonight, while they'll also crown the winner of the Ballon d'Or, proclaiming them the best player on the planet.

However, that ceremony fails to recognise some of those players who have worked hard over the course of the last 12 months to produce the best piece of skill in the most important and vital part of the game at the moment: diving.

That's why the Fallon d'Floor awards exist, to reward the most beautiful, graceful and downright amazing pieces of flopping, faking, feigning and silliness that the game has ever seen, and this year's winner was indeed the outstanding contender in the field. The award goes to...Adryan of Leeds United for his amazing performance in 'A Fish Out of Water'

In second place was Giancarlo Gonzalez, while third place went to none other than Cristiano Ronaldo, who was also nominated for the Ballon d'Or, so a successful year for the Portuguese all round.

You can head over to the Fallon d'Floor website to see all the nominees, as well as some amazing movie posters that were mocked up for the occasion, what with it being such a big deal and all.
