Heading over to cover the World Cup as a football commentator seems like a dream job...until you encounter one of these names.

The job of a commentator is to set the scene, to let us know who's involved in the action and to provide us with beautiful turns of phrase that we will recall alongside the most fascinating and memorable moments of a football game. "They think it's all over", "a nation holds its breath", you know the type of thing we're talking about.

That's all well and good, but every now and then that job is a lot tougher than it sounds, as there are a few players whose names you might trip over, in particular at this World Cup. With that in mind, the folks at Yahoo! Sports put together the 'Unpronounceable XI' and took it to the game between the US and Portugal to see how the fans would get on in the hot seat.

Honestly, we only have to type them and it's still a struggle. So the next time you hear a commentator say 'the Greek defender' or 'the striker from Iran', now you know why.
