Despite being on of last year's biggest box office takers, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has received a glorious eight nominations for the 2010 Razzie Awards... proving cleavage is still the best marketing tool at film distributors' disposal.
The action film directed by Michael Bay and starring Megan Fox('s midriff and aformentioned cleavage) and Shia LaBeouf received the most nods of any movie at the 30th annual awards, which - in case you weren't already aware - recognise the worst films of the year. The movie was nominated for Worst Picture, Worst Director, Worst Remake, Rip-off or Sequel and Worst Screenplay. Its stars were also recognised for Worst Actress and Worst Screen Couple.
Sci-fi epic Land of the Lost scored seven nominations, including nods for Worst Picture, Worst Actor for Will Ferrell, and Worst Screen Couple. Don't fret, Anna Friel; Will was non-specifically coupled with "any co-star, creature or 'comic riff', Land of the Lost."
All About Steve, starring Bradley Cooper and Sandra Bullock, and Sienna Miller's G. I Joe: The Rise of Cobra received five nominations each, while Old Dogs, starring John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston, and the latest Twilight film New Moon earned four nods apiece. The Worst Actress of the Decade shortlist is most amusing.
The Razzie Awards are judged by the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation. The winners will be announced at a ceremony at Hollywood's Barnsdall Gallery Theatre on Saturday, March 6 - the day before The Oscars. Speaking of which - Oscar Nominations should be coming at us today from about 1.30pm.
