What do Irish men really want? To be a jet-setting movie star, of course.

It's often said that men are simple creatures, and a lot of the time it's men who are saying that. Well it seems that the Irish man might have a few wishes beyond eating steak and watching football, and they include being a movie star and jetting around the world.

A recent survey, which was conducted on behalf of Unilever in support of their compressed range of deodorants, sought to examine the lifestyles and habits of the elusive Irish male to see what makes him tick. The results unveil that a huge majority of Irish men (60%) would like to become Michael Fassbender for a day, which is hardly surprising giving he's incredibly-stylish, ridiculously talented and he got to play a role in X-Men in the form of Magneto, which we've been dreaming about since we were five-years-old. Fassbender's closest competition for that illustrious title were some of the most prominent names on the scene in Ireland such as Conor McGregor and Jamie Heaslip, who were also in the running to be considered as having the 'dream job' that Irish men most want.

They also asked a few questions about the love lives of the average Irishman, and although they are often portrayed as having little interest in romance, it seems that at least 49% of the lads out there are more interested in a partner's personality over their body, eyes and income. Furthermore, we're a nation of big spenders it seems, as Irish men prefer to splash out on a first date as 41% choose to go out to dinner over the cinema or staying in.

Apart from that, Irish lads also want to spend a day hanging out with President Michael D Higgins, and if given the chance they would jet off and travel for the rest of their lives, probably starting with the World Cup which kicks off in Brazil later this week we imagine. We must admit, that's not a bad way to spend your time if you can get away with it. Anyone fancy funding our round-the-world extravaganza? No?

The survey coincides with Unilever’s compressed packaging format which was introduced simultaneously across Sure Men, Dove Men +Care, Lynx and Vaseline Men range. Compressed cans last just as long as the bigger cans but with pocket-friendly packaging.
