The wait is over, it's finally here. And it does not disappoint. The John Lewis Christmas ad 2018, is probably its strongest one in years.
Elton John is the main feature in this year's campaign. Clocking in at two minutes and 20 seconds, it follows a performer who has impacted the world. Set to Elton's 'Your Song,' the ad tells us at the end, "Some gifts are more than just a gift."
The John Lewis Christmas ad description is "This year’s story is about the power of a gift. And how that gift inspired, changed and influenced the course of a little boy’s life. That little boy just happens to be Elton John. The film begins in present day and works backwards chronologically through Elton’s life right until the moment on Christmas morning when he received the special gift that changed his life."
Grab yourself a cup of tea for this one, it's quite a touching tale.
