Forbes has unveiled the world’s highest paid actresses of the year and they shouldn’t come as too big a surprise.

Coming out on top as this year's highest-paid actress is Oscar winner Emma Stone. Aged only 28, she banked $26 million pretax over the last twelve months.

After her comes Jennifer Aniston, who may have wrapped on Friends 13 years ago, but has kept herself busy by starring in the likes of Office Christmas Party and lending her voice to animations Storks and The Angry Birds Movie over the last year.

According to Forbes, most of Aniston’s income has come from endorsing in Emirates airlines, Smartwater and Aveeno. She also owned a stake in hair-care line Living Proof which was sold Unilever for an undisclosed amount last December, adding to Aniston's bottom line.

In third place is Jennifer Lawrence, who formerly held the top spot on Forbes list. The Hunger Games star made $24 million (half of her 2016 income) from starring in upcoming projects like Darren Aronofsky’s much-anticipated Mother!, Red Sparrow and a longstanding Dior endorsement.
