Competition is suitably tough in this year's category for Best Irish Sporting Moment of the Year for the 2013 iteration of The Erics. Head on over here to the voting page to have your voice heard.

It was a bumper year for Irish sport with the likes of UFC star Conor McGregor establishing himself on the world stage, Sean Hehir becoming the first Irishman to win the Dublin marathon in 20 years and it could have been oh-so-much better has our rugby team held on to possession of the ball for just two more phases against the mighty All Blacks in November - but such is life.

Other in with a shout of winning include the Irish women's Grand Slam winning rugby team, Stephanie Roche's wondergoal for Peamount Ladies which went viral across the globe. Or perhaps the appointment of Martin O'Neill and Roy Keane to the Irish soccer management team was the year's highlight for you?
