You may have noticed we launched a little sumpthin', sumpthin' yesterday... Our wee annual 'eric' awards. Can you believe he's four-years-old already??
Things are a little different this year, however... For the first time since the awards' inception in 2008, we're having an Awards Ceremony in The Village on January 16th. Heathers, Bouts and Leanne Harte are due to perform on the night (more info on that here), with another special band to be announced closer to the date, while FM 104's Sean Munsanje will MC.
For those unfamiliar with The erics, it's our annual nod to the world of movies (Argo, Skyfall, The Hobbit); the best Irish TV shows (Moone Boy, Republic of Telly, Love/Hate), Ireland's lovely gerrals (Glenda Gilson, Roz Purcell, Emma Quinlin), those who stand up to comedy (Eric Lalor, Dead Cat Bounce, Maeve Higgins), those who put the raunch into radio (Sile Seoige, Mr Munsanje, a bit of Fenton...), and much, much more.
A site re-launch, multiple award wins, and a 15th birthday means The erics are extra special this year, so we're inviting you to celebrate the end of 2012 with us. If you fancy joining us, tickets for the awards ceremony in The Village on January 16th are available on entertainment.ie/tickets.
