If you weren't aware (and if so, you must either sleep like you're dead or have extremely-well-insulated windows), last night was windy. Very windy.
That was down to Storm Hector rolling in over Ireland from the Atlantic, battering a large portion of the country with strong winds and a hell of a lot of rain.
People have been taking to Twitter to share some tweets from the storm, and while it may not have been 'Don't make unnecessary journeys' territory, there were a few that'll make you chuckle... and a few that'll make you gasp, too.

The arrival of #StormHector is proof that this year’s sacrifice of Leaving Cert students was not enough. Time to sharpen the sickle and round up the junior certs.

After Storm Doris, we had to apologise for our trampoline in our neighbour's garden. Their kid thought it was a present, cos it was her birthday. To make matters worse, we asked if the trampoline had hurt their dog only to be told that he died at Xmas.#badneighbours #StormHector

A neighbour just marched out into the street in a old Mayo jersey and boxers with a hurling stick, roaring at two cans rattling around the street in the wind and made utter carnage out of them. That’s how a culchie in Dublin deals with #StormHector
