An Irish teenager from Shannon, Co. Clare has signed for Italian giants Inter Milan.

Tales of Irish footballers going further afield than England are few and far between, but it seems that Clare teenager Ryan Nolan has decided to become one of them after choosing to sign for Inter Milan.

Nolan has been on the books at Spanish side Torre Pacheco in Murcia, and follows in the footsteps of Robbie Keane (who also signed for the nerazzurri) and Liam Brady in playing in Italy to further his footballing career.

Nolan was born in Ballycasey before relocating to Spain six years ago, and FAI scouts are due to follow up with the player to see if he will choose to represent Ireland at U16s level.
