Now now, calm down, none of this is what you're thinking it is. Well, it sort of is, but not really.

Taylor Swift, or rather we imagine the whole LTD business that is Taylor Swift, recently bought up the newly available domain names that the internet has deemed need to come into existence, including TaylorSwift.porn and TaylorSwift.adult, according to CNN, not in order to provide any service or host anything on them, but to prevent online trolls and other nefarious people from exploiting her name online for their own gain.

Swift isn't the only one protecting her brand, with companies such as Microsoft also snatching domains such as Office.porn and Office.adult, according to Stuart Lawley, CEO of ICM Registry. Trademarked brands and companies are getting a first buy option at the domains before they're released to the public on June 1st, when hundreds of millions of new sites will come into being online with suffixes such as .porn, .adult and .sucks, to prevent damage to themselves via some of the more controversial domain names. Team Swift, and we're sure many others, are merely thinking ahead.

So if you were planning on setting up TaylorSwift.sucks, you're too late.
