It looks like Taylor Swift was in (or possibly still is in) Donegal if her latest Instagram post is anything to go by.
Taylor Swift took to social media to celebrate the one-year anniversary of her album 'folklore'.
She wrote on Instagram: "It’s been one year since we escaped the real world together and imagined ourselves someplace simpler. With tall tall trees and salt air. Where you’re allowed to wear lace nightgowns that make you look like a Victorian ghost every day & no one will side eye you cause no one is around. It’s just you and your imaginary cabin and the stories you make up to pass the time.
"To say thank you for all you have done to make this album what it was, I wanted to give you the original version of The Lakes. Happy 1 year anniversary to Rebekah, Betty, Inez, James, Augustine, and the lives we all created around them. Happy Anniversary, folklore. ?"
She accompanied the post with a couple of black-and-white images which some eagle eyed fans reckoned they recognised.
They took to Twitter to share their theory that the footbridge in the background of in one of the pictures is the same one at Ballymastocker Bay in Portsalon, Co. Donegal.
Fans were extremely excited by the news that Taylor Swift is so nearby.
Taylor Swift has been dating English actor Joe Alwyn for several years now.
Alwyn is currently shooting the TV adaptation of Sally Rooney’s 'Conversations with Friends' in locations around Ireland. It would seem his girlfriend is travelling all around with him.
The couple also spent time in Limerick back in 2018.
