Ordinarily, we wouldn't give a rodent's hewp about the premiere of a Gemma Arterton film, but a few heads are turning today for the guest list included Lily Allen's burgeoning bump. Here she is, embracing pregnancy by sporting a dress akin to one my mother wore when she was carrying me - maaany moons ago. It looked iffy then too.
To be fair, the guest list on the whole wasn't too shoddy at all, considering. In conjunction with the film's beautifully barefaced star, we had non other than Sherlock Holmes(with his original russety locks), one Stephen Fry, Dominic Cooper, Tamsin Greig, Tim Minchin sans eyeliner (and more than a hint of the Bill Bailey's about him), a Claire Danesish lookalike in a green dress, and some excitable women hellbent on being photographed over Jessica Bardon's right shoulder.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is probably the first film premiere I've ever seen Lily Allen roll up to. Usually it's the likes of Jamie Winstone (she sent her oh-so-kooky sister instead. Thankfully she laid off the eye shadow this time around), and Daisy Lowe who prance up any swatches of red carpet going. Although, now that she's definitely with child, why not avail of free movies, especially when England's boozing culture is as rife as ours.
C'mon, I watch soaps, even we don't booze at lunchtime!
