Here's the red carpet from last night's Sony Radio Awards for your viewing pleasure. Like other outlets, The Sun could have chosen to inform readers that Ronnie Wood(who's still with the Brazilian one by the looks of things) landed the Music Radio Personality of the year, and what a kick in the gnads it was for Moyles, Skinner, Mills and Cocker.

Alternatively, they could've reported on how journalistic stalwarts likeKristie Wark, Mark Kermode, Jon Ronson, and David Mitchell managed to mingle with DeeeJaaaay sorts like Neil Fox, Simon Mayo and Tony Blackburn.

Instead, The Sun went for the following headline: "Geri's in the pink at Sony Radio event." The article then goes on to describe "her strapless body form dress showed of her tiny waist and flat tum while the nude high-hell (sic?) shoes elongated her tanned limbs", as if the picture didn't impart that already. It continued with "Despite her toned physique, Geri wasn't brave enough to star in her own bikini shoot recently. The petite singer has followed former bandmate VICTORIA BECKHAM into the fashion world by designing cosies for high street chain Next. However she opted to keep covered in a playsuit while sandwiched between two striking models. The singer's frame has changed a lot over the years. She was always known as the curvy one in the Spice Girls."

Then, believe it or not, they go on to report on Geri's dress size and even provide quote from Geri - who insisted on being photographed to the side and/or with her hands on said "tiny waist" - regarding her weight... I'll spare you.

Realising she was bound to be extremely newsworthy given she also arrived in a dress, Rachel Stevenswas sure she also posed to the side. It's a wonder she didn't whip out a tape measure to replace the belt.

What was the Halliwell doing there anyway? With her foghorn tones, isn't she the radio equivalent of kryptonite? Or, at best, a lowing cow labouring in your ear canal?

On the upside, Imelda May was there, which is always nice.
