An adventure centre in West Cork has put together a pretty amazing way that we can all enjoy this fantastic weather: with a giant water slide.

If you're headed to West Cork any time soon, then make sure that West Cork Secret in Kilbrittain is on your list of places to visit, because you won't want to miss the epic 220 foot water slide that has just been constructed at the adventure centre.

The slide was made by Finbarr O'Mahony, who runs the centre, and he told Breaking News that it's been a big success, with people getting a "fierce buzz" off it since it opened last weekend. He and his son (the real boss) had some great craic testing it out to make sure that it definitely works, of course. Purely a professional thing...

The slide is made from heavy duty industrial plastic that covers a large hill that's on the grounds of the centre, and despite guest picking up some serious speed on it, Finbarr insists that the slide is a big improvement on last year's, in particular it's safer...and faster.

It obviously took a huge amount of work, as evidenced by the picture above, with the staff at the centre smoothing out the ground, and they've even installed a system that pumps the water in the pond at the bottom back to the top to keep the slide wet.

Demand is sure to be high a their drop in event this Friday, 25th of July, so if you want to know more about the slide and the cost, then head along to their Facebook page or their website where you can find out a whole lot more about the adventure centre too.
