Everyone dust of those running shoes.

According to Oxford University, the euphoria aerobic exercise produces targets the same brain receptors as smoking weed.

The work carried out in the paper, which was published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, was mainly done on rats, so we're not sure how correct it is, but it does make you think twice about the 'runner's high' phenomenon.

The study's lead researcher, David Raichlen, has said ‘maybe runner’s high is not some peculiar thing with humans.

‘Maybe it’s an evolutionary payoff for doing something hard and painful that also helps them survive better, be healthier, hunt better or have more offspring.’

We're not getting into it, because you may not know this, but we haven't the faintest idea about all the stuff they're talking about. All we know is we're off for a run, you know...to keep fit.
