Scarlett Johansson has words to say about claims that she auditioned to date Tom Cruise.

There have long been rumours that Cruise has auditioned numerous women to be his wife or girlfriend over the years and thanks to a former Scientologist, fuel was added to the fire of late.

While appearing on NBC's Megyn Kelly Today on Wednesday, Brendan Tighe said that while serving as a member of Cruise's Scientology security unit, he came across reports of women who auditioned to be in a relationship with the actor.

He claimed that these reports were accidentally sent to his printer, and Johansson’s name was allegedly on the report.

“Another actress, Erika Christensen, had to disconnect from Scarlett Johansson because it didn’t go well. That was in that report,” Tighe said.

He also said that he only recalled Johansson’s name because hers was the only name he recognized.

Johansson has since slammed the allegation calling it “demeaning” and “a crazy story.”

The actress told The Hollywood Reporter: “The very idea of any person auditioning to be in a relationship is so demeaning.

“I refuse for anyone to spread the idea that I lack the integrity to choose my own relationships. Only a man aka Brendan Tighe would come up with a crazy story like that.”

The Church Of Scientology has also denied Tighe’s claims, with spokesperson Karin Pouw telling Megyn Kelly: “Brendan Tighe was a Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization security guard/night watchman from 2002 to 2009. The “access” he boasts of having was largely limited to viewing security cameras from a guard booth. He was removed from that position for dereliction of duty.”
