We already thought the producers of Breaking Bad were a pretty decent bunch, y'know, given the fact that they'd created one of the most popular TV series in history, but then they went and took it up a notch with savewalterwhite.com

The website, seemingly created by Walter White's son, Walter Junior, asked for contributions towards Heisenberg's cancer care, but there was something far more special lurking beneath the surface. All you had to do to dicover the secret was click donate.

The link actually leads to the National Cancer Coalition's website, where a special page has been set up in honour of the Breaking Bad character. It aims to raise awareness about people like Walter White, who may be struggling to pay for their own cancer care. If you've read the piece on the Save Walter White website, you'll see how much of an emphasis they put on the high cost of treatment in the USA.

"While actor Bryan Cranston's character, Walter White, is not a real person, millions of very real people have cancer and are faced with the same heartbreaking reality as Walter White because they can't afford treatment that will save them" the page reads."You can help reduce the suffering of cancer patients and their families. With your help, cancer patients will receive the treatment they need to stay alive. Your support will make a real difference in cancer patients' lives."

We don't know about you, but we think it's pretty cool that the show's bosses have teamed up with the organisation to give a little something back.

Huzzah for Heisenberg.
