Saoirse Ronan is 1/1 after she kicked off awards season with her first win at last night's IFP Gotham Awards.

Ronan took home the Best Actress award for her role in Greta Gerwig's 'Lady Bird', which just took the title of best reviewed film of all time on Rotten Tomatoes, "It’s very heavy," she said as she picked up her trophy before dedicating it to "the two women who mean so much to me," nodding to her mother and her director.

Meanwhile 'Get Out' took home four awards at the ceremony including Best Director, Best Screenplay and the Audience Award, with director Jordan Peele saying: "When I started to write this film I set out to make a movie that would be my favorite movie that I had never seen. I didn’t know it would actually ever get made.

"It’s so important that we support these voices from the outside, these perspectives we haven’t seen, we haven’t heard," he continued. "They will resonate. We need these stories."
