An investigation and analysis of CSO / Garda Siochana statistics in 2013 revealed some shocking results across the country.
The statistics revealed that Donegal has the highest instances of assault, with 14.3% of all crimes reported as such.
Meanwhile, Kerry has the highest reported percentage of Public Order offences. Monaghan also "scored" highly in drink-driving offences.
As for theft and drugs, Dublin and Laois ranked at the highest. 42% of all crimes in Dublin were reported as theft, 8% higher than the national average of 34%.
Meanwhile, criminal damage rated the highest in Louth with 18% of all crimes reported.
The safest county to live in Ireland was reported as Roscommon, with a crime rate 53% below the national average.
