The Tubridy Era of 'The Late Late Show' came to an end on Friday night, with an array of famous faces turning up to give Ryan Tubridy a good send-off.

Bono and The Edge even donated a red Vespa to the presenter, while there were messages from the likes of Paul McCartney and Saoirse Ronan.

However, another famous name might have missed the cut-off point to send in his video, but he made amends by posting it online this morning.

Russell Crowe, who appeared on 'The Late Late Show' several times during Tubridy's tenure, posted a message of support from Melbourne's Espy venue, after he had played a gig there with his band last Thursday night.

He said "Every single time I've come on your show, I love the vibe, and I love what you've done and I'm really proud of what you've achieved in 15 years. Because now we're mates, and I can say things like that to you.

"We've played a bit of tennis, had the odd drink or two, and here's a little special message from the people of Melbourne to you, Ryan."

He then posted a clip of the crowd shouting 'Good luck Ryan!' before performing the song 'Blackjack County Chains', which he played during his last 'Late Late Show' appearance last year.
