We're not even taking the mick. Just when you thought he couldn’t get himself someone more annoying than Katy Perry, Russell goes and bags himself the Halliwell. He officially gets off on insecure, overbearing, fame hungry, mouthy sorts, or - to put it a more obvious way - the female variation of himself, which would be about right.
The Rock of Ages actor reportedly dumped his stateside girlfriend Isabella Brewster ("they are both in recovery and totally into yoga") after falling for Geri while the pair were rehearsing for the London Olympics Closing Ceremony earlier this month.
A really good mate of Russell's told The Sun: "Things are getting very serious between them - they're a proper couple now. They had met several times in the past but really got to know each other during the Olympics. People thought Russell was joking at the time when he said he had a crush on Geri all over again, but it was true. They just clicked - they have so much in common. He is spending so much time in London just to be with her."
To recap on what Russell said at the time, it was summink along the lines of "I’ve got a crush on Geri 'Alliwell - everything in the world is how it should be."
Someone else was on hand to discuss him dumping Isabella for Geri: "He ended his relation-ship with Isabella and is now dating Geri properly.'
The pair were also spotted on a romantic date at Hampton Court Palace. Fellow visitor Greg Oram said: "I thought it was the most random thing ever to see Russell Brand of all people in a place like that - until my wife pointed out that he was with a Spice Girl. They seemed like they were having a really great time, holding hands and chatting - it was 100 per cent obvious they were a couple. Geri was holding his hand the same way I hold my wife's, it was so cute."
Because, people, there are many, many ways to "hold hands." Hopefully it wasn't anything too full on given Geri's daughter Bluebell was also present.
Geri is the umpteenth female Brand's been linked with since his separation, but it looks like this one is also for keeps as they both don't drink and are totally into yoga...
