Rob Brydon whipped himself out to host the Royal Television Society Awards last night, which saw many a soap star and, well, many a soap star shimmy up the red carpet. Namely Rachel off Emmerdale overcompensating for her usual lack of make up, and Debbie Rush looking lush yet again. And Gail Platt looking like Gail Platt.

It also saw Ruth Negga and Liz Bonnin wave an invisible Irish flag, Caroline Flack grab her own arse in the back of a black cab and Keith Lemon pretend to deck a pap.
