Well this is a blast from the past that no one saw coming. Darlene from Roseanne is getting hitched to the 'Heeeeeeey, what's goin' on?' singer from 4 Non Blondes, after going out for over two years.
Last time we saw Linda Perry was in MTV's Diary of Christina Aguilera in the Dirrty days when she wrote Beautiful for Xtina, and makes most of her money these days by writing and producing megahits for the megastars out there, but is mostly known for her early '90s career with the American all-female rock band 4 Non Blondes, which everyone really only knows for their one hit 'What's Up?' AKA 'I said hey, what's going on?'.
Sara Gilbert has kind of been out of the business since her Roseanne days, doing the odd bit of work here and there but mostly brings home the dollar these days by appearing on daytime panel TV show The Talk with Sharon Osbourne in the US. It was on the show yesterday that Gilbert announced the engagement and told the story of how it all went down, which you can check out below if you're in the mood for some serious romance and schmaltz in your day. It's pretty sweet (if very elaborate).
