The Angels crooner plans to leave Los Angeles before his wife Ayda Field gives birth to their second child because he wants to give his 20-month-old daughter, Teddy, and her future sibling a British education. The fact that he's more recognisable this side of the Atlantic is also a bonus.
He told The Sun: "I love LA. The people and the weather are great but it's not England. It can't offer the same. Things change when you're a dad - there are people to look after who are more important than yourself. I want Teddy and the new baby, whatever it may be, to be educated in England." Best stock up on the Vitamin D drops, so!
The former Take That star has gone ahead and purchased a £2.5 million "ruddy big house" in North London, so he joked he has no choice but to relocate back across the Atlantic permanently.
Robbie added: "Teddy is already surrounded by English people so she's bound to have an accent anyway. But that's not the point - we want to educate her in London. We've just bought a ruddy big house so we had better be coming back!"
And for those who accused Robbie of looking a little portly at Soccer Aid on Sunday, the 40-year-old claims becoming a father has also made him rethink his lifestyle choices and eat healthily so he can keep up with his baby daughter: "I look after myself now - I have to. Not only for my appearance but I have to be fit for on the road and for running around after Teddy."
