The Red Sox won the World Series last night and Boston fans have a track record in amusing celebrations so we're expecting some good videos throughout the next few days but for now let's enjoy this one for starters. Oh yeah, and if you weren't expecting slightly NSFW language after seeing the headline then I don't know what to tell you.
Two things that are better than the on air F bomb,
1. The first guy says, 'this is more than history'. How is anything 'more than history'? What could that ever mean? Is history now a quantifiable property? Is the present worth more than the past? Is history a collection of interchangeable narratives and that somehow the Red Sox winning the World Series deviates from everything that has come before? Is this guy the new Confucius?
2. The second guy says, 'I've been alive since, probably, 1988'. Was there a time around the mid 90's where he wasn't sure he was still alive? Is he questioning the very idea of existence? Is he mocking our continued use of the Gregorian calendar?
Boston fans keep providing so many questions and damn it, I'm not giving up till I figure out all the answers.
EDIT: As predicted, here is the first of many crazy celebration videos that are doing the rounds.
