Now this is a weird one. Professor Green was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol last weekend, but only after HE called the police because he'd been mugged outside his home. Yeah, we're confused too.

Apparently Prof. phoned the police in the early hours of Sunday morning after he was mugged outside his house for his Rolex watch, but after officers turned up at the scene they found his Mercedes and a van had been involved in a collision, and later pulled him into custody on suspicion of drink driving. Talk about a night going south.

A spokesperson for Scotland Yard told the Daily Mirror: 'The suspected driver of the car, a 29-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and taken into custody at a South London police station. There were no reports of any injured parties. Inquiries into the robbery and the collision are ongoing.'

As the news of Sunday's events got out, Green tweeted how acutely aware of the situation he was, in case you had planned on letting him know, saying:

He also shared a photograph on Instagram earlier on in the day, which saw him on board an aeroplane with empty bottles of vodka.

It is not thought his wife Millie Mackintosh was at the south London home when the star phoned the police at 2:40am and Professor Green has been bailed until the end of the month.
