Ah, the Official World Cup song. There's been some interesting ones - Daryl Hall of Hall & Oates' song Gloryland anyone? - and some pretty notable turds. Shakira's Waka Waka from the last World Cup springs to mind. Our favourite has to be Dario G's Carnival De Paris from 1998. You also had famous film composer Ennio Morricone's track from the 1978 Argentian World Cup as well.

We're a long way from Ennio Morricone with this year's track. Pitbull, who's inexplicably everywhere these days, teams up with Jennifer Lopez - she's still a thing, apparently - for a Brazilian-flavoured song about being one. Because Brazilian music and football go together. Naturally. How bad's the song? Very bad. We'd prefer a ten-hour video of vuvuzelas playing Macarena than have to listen to it again. And the worst part is that it's going to be EVERYWHERE this summer. So, y'know, either get used to it or learn how to tune it out.

Here it is. Pitbull. Jesus. Does he know what a football is? Not by the looks of this video, anyway.
