It's not every day that passengers on a plane get a direct shout out from the captain but some circumstances clearly call for it.

Passengers flying from Oakland, California, to Kansas City, Missouri, last week got a special commendation from the captain of the aircraft after he announced over the PA system that they had consumed all the alcohol on the plane, congratulating them for their efforts on the 3 hour and 20 minute flight.

One such passenger was journalist Jimmy Durkin, who tweeted about the captain's message on board the flight to Kansas City.

The Raiders were playing in Kansas City last Thursday and Durkin was quick to clarify it wasn't the team plane, but one carrying fans that he was on, later telling Fox News that his fellow passengers were "Not particularly rowdy, and yeah, a decent amount of folks in Raiders gear. Pretty standard fare for a flight to a city where the Raiders are playing."

This is clearly not standard operating procedure on Dublin flights, otherwise we'd all have been given this announcement at least once.
