In short, bring back the Critic's Choice Awards red carpet. I know we should be over it by now, but it was a very hard act to follow. It had Angelina Jolie AND Jennifer Aniston is something other than a black dresses, godnammit. 

Speaking of Jennifer Aniston. She must have heard that we really liked her necklace, cause she wore it again. This time she teamed it with another plunging neckline, thanks to this Galliano gown, teamed with Fred Leighton jewels. AS for the tan, she said that was "courtesy of Cabo San Lucas."

Those also in "WOW" mode on last night's red carpet was Lupita Nyong'o in Ellie Saab... 

 

And while there's no denying that Sofia Vergara is a vision in this red Donna Karan Atelier dress, there is also no denying that it also happens to be THE red dress emoji...

Reese Witherspoon looked serene, if a little creased in custom Giorgio Armani... 



While Emma Stone - as with the Golden Globes - tread her own path on the carpet in Dior. It was so striking it even caused people - namely Naomi Watts - to tumble almost arse over t*t. 



As has become customary, Sarah Hyland proved to be an absolute knockout in custom Vera Wang, as did Julianne Moore in green Givenchy.

Also looking gorgeous in green was Claire Danes... True the Marc Jacobs belt hums more of safety harness than chic accessory, but we'll overlook that in light of everything else. 

While Maggie Gyllenhaal seemed to have second thoughts regarding the neckline of her Thakoon offering...

Keira Knightly channelled her inner LOTR elf in this Erdem number. I know TBC bumps are tricky to hide, but her ensembles of late have only served to draw attention to it. Still, it's a million times better than her Golden Globes offering.
