The world'd largest aircraft, the Airlander 10 is launching today.

The 44,100 pound, 300 foot long aircraft is set to make it's inaugural test flight in the coming months and photos and videos of the aircraft have been released today.

The aircraft was originally developed by the U.S. Army for surveillance but the government abandoned the idea due to lack of funding, Hybird Aviation Vehicles (HAV) then took over the project and developed into a commercial aircraft. However the launch is taking a slightly unanticipated turn for HAV as the aircraft is attracting an unwanted celebrity comparison.

That's unfortunate.
