The Garda Siochana Twitter account has been a huge source of amusement in the past but this latest tale may be the best yet.
The account has this morning been posting images and recounting the issues that members of the Gardai have had during the night in helping the local swans cope with Storm Imogen.
Thankfully the tale was told with their usual sense of humour.

We advise swans not to go chasing waterfalls and to please stick to the rivers and lakes they’re used to 3/3 pic.twitter.com/6FsLLPdf9l

Fair play to the Gardai in making the effort to help the swans back to their usual habitats. While we battened down the hatches during Storm Imogen its easy to forget that there are those that can't do the same.
