It looks like Conor McGregor has another superstar admirer in the form of NBA legend LeBron James.
James posted a quote from McGregor on Instagram along with a caption to confirm that he perscribes to the Crumlin native's work ethic mentality.
There's no question that both sportsmen have put in countless hours of hard work to ensure that they reach the pinnacle of their respective sports. But to suggest that talent doesn't play a part is a bit rich. As mentioned in one of the comments under the post, James was 6'6 in the 7th grade. So perhaps we're not all starting off on an equal footing?
That being said, talent only gets you so far, as plenty have learned the hard way.
