At long last, it seems the world is finally starting to get excited about women's soccer, particularly in the US where their team just recently became the World Cup champions.

Back in May, EA Sports decided to make the move to incorporate women's teams into the game with FIFA 16, and now it's been announced that a woman will also feature on the cover of the US and Canada editions for the first time in the computer game's 23-year history.

The US version will feature American player Alex Morgan, while the Canadian FIFA 16 features Christine Sinclair, with both alongside Barcelona and Argentina star Lionel Messi.

The game will feature twelve of the highest ranked women's national teams in the world: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, England, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Sweden, and the United States of America, and is set for release this September.
