If you were brave enough to watch last night's 8th Amendment debate on RTE's Prime Time after the trauma of last week's Claire Byrne Live fiasco, you may have noticed the reaction on Twitter - particularly to Minister for Health Simon Harris.
With Cora Sherlock of the 'No' side pulling out at the 11th hour, Harris and Sinn Fein TD Peadar Toibin were left to debate the issue alone, with Harris being in favour of repealing.
The debate was largely civil and certainly handled with more decorum than its predecessor, but Twitter was an amusing place to be - mostly because people were so unexpectedly impressed by Harris's clear and concise debating skills.
In fact, it's fair to say that a portion of the population basically fell in love with him:
FIGHT ME FOR SIMON HARRIS

The only Trump/Brexit surprise outcome in this referendum is going to be the fact that the nation fancies Simon Harris now.

Is it ok to fancy Simon Harris asking for not a mate more of an acquaintance?

Simon Harris coming out in favour of women's reproductive rights is the coolest vampire transformation since Robert Pattinson followed up the Twilight franchise by starring in loads of David Cronenberg films.
