Last night's episode of the Late Late Show saw the first televised debate on the 8th Amendment take place, with representatives from both sides of the argument field questions and thoughts from members of the audience as well.
Representing the Yes vote was Dr. Peter Boylan, former Master of the National Maternity Hospital, and Dr. Mary Favier, a general practitioner whilst the No vote was represented by Wendy Grace, a journalist with the Irish Catholic and Caroline Simons, a spokeswoman for the Pro-Life Campaign.
The #LateLateShow's hashtag on Twitter generated thousands of messages throughout the segment. The referendum takes place on May 25th.

This is a decision for a woman to make with her family and doctor. This woman telling a story about not getting an abortion can continue to not get an abortion after the referendum is passed. People can still chose to not have an abortion. Her point is irrelevant. #LateLateShow
