That's bound to happen when you spend a large portion of twenty years sharing a home with someone. Maria cried on Patty's shoulder, while Arnie just became familiar with various other parts.
According to reports, which are spilling out at the rate of knots, the mother of Arnie's secret love child - the family's maid Mildred "Patty" Baena, 50 - actually served as a shoulder to cry on when Maria was upset. "Patty would always tell us how Maria would always cry to her about Arnold's affairs," Baena's former daughter-in-law Nora Vella told US media. Gotta love the in laws. "She said she would try and comfort Maria and tell her that this is who Arnold has always been and that it's just who he is and she should accept it," added Vella, 29.
Vella also claimed that although Baena allegedly lied about the boy's father on his birth certificate it was clear that Arnie, 63, was the real daddy. "Everyone thought the boy was Arnold's kid," she said. "He has gapped teeth and the jaw and no one else in the family has blonde hair," she claimed. Vella also said that despite Baena's consistent denial of any affair with the former Governor it was evident that there was something going on. "She would act giddy, like a little girl when people said his name."
As it turns out, Patty didn't just have a crush on Arnold, "according to reports" she also fancied being inside Maria's clothes. Over to TMZ: "Toward the end, our sources say Patty would dress in Maria's clothing and even wear her jewelry around town. We're told Patty once confided that Maria noticed on one occasion that a piece of jewelry was missing and interviewed the staff about it. We don't know if the jewelry resurfaced. And get this - Patty would go to Maria for as advice about her pregnancy and Maria graciously offered her counsel..." Because both Maria and Patty were pregnant with Arnie's offspring at the same time.
And there's more: "Patty confided in a friend - when Maria would leave the house in the morning, she would crawl into the marital bed and do the deed with Arnold. She once even bragged that she was more of a wife to Arnold than Maria because she was always there for him."
