As we settle in for the next four weeks of the Rio Olympics, coverage in the Irish media is going to be pretty intensive.

It's going to be difficult to cut through all the varying opinions, but there's only one Twitter account you should be following for a ground-view of what's happening in Rio. We are, of course, talking about Paddy Barnes.

As well as leading Ireland in the Parade Of Nations at the opening ceremony, Barnes has also been pretty active on Twitter and doing pretty much everything we'd be doing if we were at the Rio Olympics.

This includes getting a selfie with Serena Williams...

And then realising that was Madison Keyes sitting beside her.

He's also thrown a little bit of shade at his former teammate, Rory McIlroy, by getting himself a selfie with Caroline Wozniacki, but later admitted it was all just for the craic. And the fact that he was bored.

He's also been commenting on the real crisis affecting Irish boxing, too.

As well as this, he's also been giving us the inside track on what's happening in the Olympic Village.

Keep up the good work, Paddy. His first match is this Monday at 15.00 local time against a to-be-determined fighter from either Spain or Armenia.
