We here at entertainment.ie have adopted a strict anti-Harlem Shake policy (namely on account of how one of our beloved staff members here HATES the internet craze/fad) but he's on holidays at the moment, so we're temporarily relaxing our stance. 

So anyway, here goes: A librarian at Oxford University has been FIRED for allowing students to film a Harlem Shake video in the college library. As you can see from the video below, a group of students became approximately the twelve millionth cast of a Harlem Shake video, which you can check out below.

By the way, kudos to whoever put together the 'Free Pussy Riot' sign.

In what was obviously conceived to be a bit of fun, students are aghast that it led to librarian Calypso Nash (yes, that's a real name) getting the chop. Esther Gosling, who is President of the Junior Common Room, said that Nash wasn't in on the gag and "couldn't have stopped it."

Oxford University have declined comment on the issue.
