What's this? One Direction causing trouble in The Big Apple? If Louis Tomlinson wasn't one fifth of the world's biggest boybands, we doubt he'd have gotten off this lightly with New York's Po-Po. The cheeky chappy of the group was approached by NYPD officers after he was seen standing up out of the sunroof of a moving car, filming himself singing. Poor thing, he's probably just pissed off he never gets a chance to exercise his vocal muscles with Harry and Liam hogging most of the limelight.

Anyhoo, causing quite the bit of gridlock, they pulled him over (with Niall Horan also in the vehicle) for a good bollicking. However, upon realising who he was, the police - like the rest of NYC - found themselves overcome with 1D fever and simply let him off with a warning. Pffft, celebrities. Who do they think they are, eh? Turns out the police are rather pleased with themselves; Louis was actually filming some scenes to accompany their 3D movie which is to be released next year, so who knows, maybe these officers will make an appearance.

As per The Sun, "Louis and the lads are having a great time in the Big Apple and want to capture every minute... Louis was only standing through the sunroof momentarily but it was long enough to catch the eye of the cops. He may have found it funny but motorists stuck in a traffic jam certainly didn't."
