Eating clean is the most important part of any training regime, but when you spend around five or six hours in the pool every day, as well as hitting the gym, you need to get a lot of calories. 

Like Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte is an Olympic swimmer with that type of grueling workout schedule, and if he wants to be able to train every day, he needs to eat, and eat a lot. Phelps famously claimed that he needs to get through around 10,000-12,000 calories a day, and Lochte has a similar diet.

What might 10,000 calories look like? Well, it looks like a hell of a lot of food, something along these lines: 

 

 

We're not sure what's in the foil tray, but it looks like it could taste alright, but the other stuff seems pretty dry. He certainly eats his greens, anyway.
