OJ Simpson has been freed on parole after nine years in prison, and will spend the next five under supervision.

Simpson, who is now 70, was sentenced to thirty-three years in jail for kidnapping and armed robbery following a botched attempt to recover sports memorabilia that he believed belonged to him. Simpson's sentence was handed down 13 years to the day he was acquitted of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her boyfriend Ron Goldman.

According to reports, Simpson told the parole board that he wants to live in Florida, however the Florida Department of Corrections stated that officials have not received a transfer request or required documents.

The Nevada Department of Corrections posted both an image and a video of Simpson being released from custody in the past hour.
